Sukanya Samriddhi
Sukanya Samriddhi Account (Girl Child Prosperity Account) is a special deposit account under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (Girl child prosperity scheme) launched by the Prime Minister of India on 22 January 2015, with the stated aim of improving the welfare of female children in India. Under this scheme a saving account can be opened by the parent or legal guardian of a girl child of less than 10 years of age (born on or after: 02-December-2003; For FY 2014-15) with a minimum deposit of 1,000/- Rs in any post office or authorised branches of commercial bank.
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (Prime Minister's People Money Scheme) (PMJDY) is National Mission for Financial Inclusion to ensure access to financial services, namely Banking Savings and Deposit Accounts, Remittance, Credit, Insurance, Pension in an affordable manner.This financial inclusion campaign was launched by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi on 28 August 2014 He had announced this scheme on his first Independence Day speech on 15 August 2014 Run by Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, on the inauguration day, 1.5 Crore (15 million) bank accounts were opened under this scheme.Guinness World Records Recognises the Achievements made under PMJDY, Guinness World Records Certificate says "The most bank accounts opened in 1 week as a part of financial inclusion campaign is 18,096,130 and was achieved by Department of Financial Services, Government of India from 23 to 29 August 2014" Officially Amazing. By 13 May 2015, 15.58 crore accounts were opened, with around ₹16918 crore (US$2.7 billion) were deposited under the scheme.
What is the make in India
Make in India is an initiative of the Government of India, to encourage companies to manufacture their products in India. It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25 September 2014.Make in India initiative has been on main agenda in various foreign visits of Narendra Modi.
MAKE IN INDIA
The major objective behind the initiative is to focus on 25 sectors of the economy for job creation and skill enhancement. Some of these sectors are: automobiles, chemicals, IT, pharmaceuticals, textiles, ports, aviation, leather, tourism and hospitality, wellness, railways, auto components, design manufacturing, renewable energy, mining, bio-technology, and electronics. The initiative hopes to increase GDP growth and tax revenue. The initiative also aims at high quality standards and minimising the impact on the environment.[4] The initiative hopes to attract capital and technological investment in India. The campaign was designed by the Wieden+Kennedy (W+K) group which had previously worked on the Incredible India campaign and a campaign for the Indian Air Force.
